Takedown Notes:
- Always 3D:
- Pulling opponent, pushing/pulling down, rotating
- Cheat code grip:
- hold wrist w/ cross grip, grap same side armpit with other hand
Butterfly Takedown
- Always be rotating
- Arm drag across opponent's centerline
- drop knee (same side as dragging arm)
- use other leg to sweep opponent's leg (butterfly position)
Snapback
- Double lapel grip (collar tie for no-gi)
- Keep arms/elbows tight to my core (more power there)
- Drop hips and push head down suddenly and dramatically
- Get their head in beneath my sternum
- Spin/rotated dramatically around opponent while keeping downward pressure
Rotating Trip (My go-to because it's simple)
- Rotate!
- Plant my foot in front of theirs
- Drop my weight/butt to the ground
- pull them over my foot
