Practice Log: Side Control Escapes

Notes from Zander:
- Don't EVER give up from bottom
- Try all escapes in a chain over and over, one will eventually work
- Fight to get out like your life depends on it
Elbow Escape
- From Side Control
- Bring knee to elbow with a power-shrimp
- Pivot to bring knee in
- Work your way into closed guard
Flip Opponent
- From Side Control
- Rotate my legs away from opponent
- If opponent keeps their legs/knees tight two you, repeat 2-3 more times
- If opponent continues to keep close, rotate hips and shoulders to flip them over you
Wrestle Up
- From side control
- Get my spine as parallel to opponent as possible
- Get inside underhook on outside arm
- "Touch" the mat behind you in order to "shrug" your opponent off
- Get to knees and dogfight
