Practice Log: Bottom Halfguard Attacks & Dogfight

Half-guard sweep:
- From bottom half guard
- Keep my top elbow locked to my ribs
- Other hand can be in a "sleeping" position/protecting head and neck
- When opponent attacks my top elbow (tries to get an underhook, etc.), pull opponent arm across centerline
- Keep feet locked
- reach bottom arm over opponent and grab far lat
- Roll and unlock feet during roll to get to side control
Dogfight:
- From knee shield
- Push my knee through with same side arm to get underhook
- I.e. follow my knee with my hand like the knee is a battering ram to the underhook
- Get up on my other elbow and get a good base
Back take ideas:
- If opponent wizzer's my underhook
- Bring my arm to my chest, superman my arm forward
- take the back
- If no wizzer
- Shrug arm over head and take back
Knee pick
- Posture up and apply pressure to opponent
- Trap far side knee and push them over
- If they resist and push back
- Fall backwards
- lift opponent leg over you
- take mount
Bottom Half Guard submissions
Omoplata
- From knee shield, the opponent wizzers my leg
- Grab the wizzering hand with my top hand (same size as knee shield)
- Get up into base
- When opponent reacts to having their arm trapped
- get head under their belly
- push off their legs to get into omoplata
Triangle
- From knee shield, the opponent wizzers my leg
- Grab the wizzering hand with my top hand (same size as knee shield)
- Get up into base
- Forward roll while holding onto arm to get into triangle
